Perfect wall paint
We are re conserving old walls and picture new walls.
I will prime everything with a vapor barrier primer from benjamin moore(The only latex vapor barrier primer i did find), So that I can get a consistence base coat.
During the past, we purchase behr and pratt lampert paints and have good luck.We typically paint the walls in a satin finish as they are simpler to keep clean(2 children)
I was reading about cermic paints and wondered anybody has tried them.

Paint branding has become quite tricky as of late.Actually, many brands are set up by one company.Yeah, behr is good and so are the mediocre.

Hummmmm!One who works for a major paint company recommends using a major brand?The first 10 years i was out of faculty i worked a chemist at a paint company.I was more into automotive and industrial finishes as compared with house paint.Still i do know some things in addition to my personal expertise.
In the past anticipating a move, my wife and i did a variety of painting.We started with a few sears stuff she bought.The ceiling took 2 coats and deflecting lap marks was tough.Applying some other rooms, i to be able to slap on cheap stuff from big lots on.One heavy coat did fine and much easier to partner with.We didn't move and years later it looks any moreso than the sears stuff.
Look into the label.Go with a very high percentage of titanium dioxide or tio2 you find.In a white or pale, that always is the biggest factor in how well it covers.If the label doesn't give the makeup, go
bonez with a brand with less to cover.
I used a vapor barrier paint on some of my ceilings i realized came from sherwin william's, but it might have been benjamin moore.It seemed to be a pigmented shellac.I left it subject on the ceiling as a flat white.Did a range of bathroom ceilings recently and wanted semi gloss.I was thinking if i had to put another coat on it, i would certainly use shellac.I really could buy a small can of it, and it is going bad if not use up soon.Semi gloss latex isn't spread right over shellac.I not really know it sticks right either, but at least ceilings get very little usage.
